Jack Bech will be sidelined for a few weeks.
The former St. Thomas More star and current Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver suffered a broken forearm in Sunday’s victory over the New Orleans Saints. The Raiders placed Bech on the Reserve/Injured list on Tuesday, which means he will be sidelined for at least the next four games, if not more.
Bech was selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft and finished his rookie season with 20 receptions for 224 yards and no touchdowns. After a good showing in training camp and the preseason, Bech was expected to be more featured in the Raiders’ offense under new head coach Klint Kubiak.
In the first two games this season, Bech recorded five receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Bech played college football at LSU and TCU. In 2024, he became only the fifth player in Horned Frogs history to record a 1,000-yard season as he hauled in 62 passes for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. Bech earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors and earned All-American honorable mention accolades.
Bech carried that momentum into the Reese’s Senior Bowl where he impressed scouts, coaches, and other players during practices in Mobile. He was voted as the Top Wide Receiver at the Practice Player-of-the-Week honors, and capped the week with catching the game-winning touchdown to be named the Senior Bowl MVP.
Before transferring to TCU in 2023, Bech played his first two seasons with the LSU Tigers.
Bech made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2021 when he caught a team-best 43 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns. Bech saw his production dip in 2022 when he caught 16 receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown. He entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and landed at TCU.
Bech was a standout wide receiver at St. Thomas More, and he helped the Cougars win two state championships in football. He ended his high school career with 172 receptions for 3,236 yards and 37 touchdowns in 35 games. He also helped the Cougars’ boy’s basketball program win three state championships.
